FAQ Klarna
Klarna - Pay Later in Three Interest-free Instalments
What exactly is Klarna?
Klarna is a payment company from Sweden that looks after your payment from start to finish. It powers checkouts for over 200,000 web shops, and more than 85 million shoppers around the globe rely on it to process their payments safely.
Pay later in three interest-free instalments: how does it work?
This option lets you divide what you owe into 3 even payments. Each one is taken automatically from the debit or credit card you used at checkout. The first is charged once Neck On The Line confirms your order, then the second follows 30 days afterwards and the third 60 days afterwards. Your payment timetable is always visible via the Klarna app.
Can I use Pay later in three interest-free instalments?
You need to be 18 or older to choose this option. Although it is promoted broadly, approval depends on your personal financial situation. Our check when you select it will have no effect on your credit rating.
What can I do to get approved for Pay later in three interest-free instalments?
Klarna decides each case on its own, looking at things like the basket total, your earlier orders and stock levels. If you are 18 or older, you can boost your odds by entering your complete name and a correct address, and by sending the parcel to the billing address you have registered. Every order is judged separately. Being approved for a Klarna payment method in the past does not guarantee it for each new order, and likewise a refusal once does not mean you will be refused every time afterwards.
Which details are needed at the time of purchase?
To buy through Klarna with this instalment plan, you will have to enter a mobile number, an email address, your current billing address and a debit or credit card. We ask for the mobile number in case we have to contact you, while every message is sent by email. Please make sure all details are correct, or you may miss your payment timetable and any order updates.
Will my credit file be searched?
Klarna can carry out what are known as soft searches, which leave no mark on your credit score and can only be seen by you and Klarna, never by other lenders. Neither Klarna nor Neck On The Line performs any search that could harm your credit rating.
Why was Pay later in three interest-free instalments not shown to me?
This option is advertised widely, yet it cannot be offered to everyone. Whether it appears is worked out automatically by algorithms, which weigh up address information, cardholder information, the order total, the web shop concerned, your earlier orders and stock availability.
Which ways of paying does Klarna give me?
The cost of your instalment plan is drawn automatically from the debit or credit card entered at checkout. The initial payment is charged as the order is confirmed, and the second and third are taken 30 and 60 days after that first one. You can check your schedule at any time via the Klarna app.
What if I cancel or send back my order?
Once Neck On The Line approves your cancellation or return, Klarna stops all upcoming payments and refunds whatever is owed. The change shows up via the Klarna app straight away.
What if my order goes unpaid?
Klarna will try to take each payment for your Neck On The Line purchase from the debit or credit card given at checkout. When a scheduled payment fails, a second attempt is made two days later. If that also fails, Klarna sends a statement covering the whole unpaid balance, due 15 days after it is issued. You will be warned two days before any payment is attempted, and the due date is always shown via the Klarna app. Using the ‘Pay later in 3 instalments’ product will not damage your credit score, even when a payment is late.

If everything is returned, any money already taken is refunded and later payments are cancelled. The status of your order is always shown via the Klarna app.
